The Artwork of Heidi Buck

I've been working on several deer paintings at once, based on photographs taken right off my back deck. There is an older doe, her 2 fawns (twins) and a few yearling does (last year's sisters) hanging around my yard. They've been enjoying the blackberries (unfortunately for me!) and the apples from the old tree... I go down to the meadow every morning and shake it for them so that the apples fall to the ground. It is so fun watching the fawns try and pick up the apples !

This is an oil painting I'm currently working on. The subject is a beautiful cat that lives in the Auburn Cat house and who loves her basket house! While I cleaned her apartment, she played peek-a-boo with me.

This is one of the paintings I'm currently working on. The image shows a few of the steps involved in one of my oil paintings. The subject is based on a photo I took of a cat in Hanalei, Kauai.

Well, just in time for the 2007/2008 school year, Heidi's new website is getting launched! Sometimes it's just easier to start over, and that's what we did. A new web address, a whole new content system that will allow Heidi to manage the entire site by herself, and at the same time will let her keep it completely up to date!
